The Office of Fair Trading in Queensland is currently consulting in relation to changes to the Act and the model rules impacting on charities and not-for-profits.
The papers are:
- Priority consultation paper 1: Grievance procedure – the requirement for the rules of an incorporated association to include a grievance procedure or the grievance procedure in the model rules will apply.
- Priority consultation paper 2: Disclosure of remuneration - the requirement for the management committee of an incorporated association to disclose the remuneration and benefits paid or given to committee members, senior staff, and their relatives
- Priority consultation paper 3: Reporting requirements and thresholds - potential changes to financial reporting requirements for incorporated associations

Submissions are due by 12 September 2022.
